Evening all.

Tonight saw the club take a big step in maybe saving money for the future and keeping us warm as we finally managed to finish off the insulating on the ceiling. Usally most of the heat is lost through where the old sky light windows use to be and as explained in one of the other posts is it basically just felt then slate laid over where they use to be where as now it has fibre board to keep us warm and snug,

Also tonight saw the start of ceiling beams start to get a coat of paint. We have chosen a coat of sand colour which has made the areas that we did manage to paint look a lot cleaner.

We are now going to be in need of alot of dust sheets/old duvets etc to lay over the entire layout whilst we paint. Hopefully the members will be able to find some.

Me and keith as stated above have been fixing the insulting boards up with no nails and slate nails which have a big head on them. alan and roger have been helping us pass and cutting the boards to size.

Then me and keith started painting the roof beams which is no easy task being 15ft up!!

Alan has finished off the soap works chimney which has been made out of two tubes of card glued together and wrapped in brick paper, sounds easy enough but not when you have to match up the bricks and make sure they are level looking.

He has also redisigned a roof for mill 10 as he didnt like the look of the other.

Roger has been making a roof for the garage in the wood yard and also made some gargoils for nuttall tunnel.

Alex is on holiday in York with his girlfriend for her birthday.

Reece is on holiday in the lakes...

I forgot my camera today as i was in a rush. hopefully tuesday will seen some progress being shown.

Cheers Dan
