17-09-1978  -  17-09-2009    31years  of Ramsbottom Model Railway Club!!

The layout is based on Ramsbottom and surrounding areas which are near Bury in Lancashire.

The line starts at the local park called nuttall park comming out of the tunnel through Ramsbottom itself and finishes at Stubbins village with over 1000ft of trackwork.

The period for this layout is Ramsbottom in the 1950's so basically late LMS, early BR. There are two stations on our layout Ramsbottom and Stubbins. This also includes 15 sidings from the original 50 that use to be off stubbins lane, local mills some of which are still there today,

Curently we have 7 members, some of which are from the original days of when it first started. we range from  24 upwards, we are always on the lookout for new members

The Layout  is basically in a giant oval that is about 25ft by 16ft wide, has 5 controllers, two for the back marshalling yards that are reached after stubbins station and after nuttall tunnel. Two for the front boards that control the up and the down lines and one for Ramsbottom sidings.

We are located just off Bury New Road, in Ramsbottom and meet every Tuesday and Thursday Night 7.30pm till 11pm.

Anyone wanting any infomation about visiting or anything to do with the club can do so by the contacts page above.

If you have enough time and you dont mind then please sign the guest book and tell us what you think about the website, layout or maybe even tell us how we could improve the site.
